I am a researcher and translator, currently Assistant Professor of Urdu at the University of Toronto.

I study how literature and geography shape each other, especially in the case of 20th century Urdu.

My work has appeared most recently in The Journal of World Literature and The Oxford Handbook of Modern Indian Literatures.
